I went to Birmingham International Comics Show to sell comics I've printed. I'm in a collective with friends. for more information visit inspired at myspace
I've been to this event before. but this was our first time selling anything ... ever.
We had a really awesome time. I love the event anyway, lol its like getting the behind the scenes footage when you get to set up a table early in the morning and stuff.
I have photos!

waw, we had a great spot in the exhibition hall. we where right by andi watson (who taught us some stuff when we did the comics course) as well as semioticcohesion (who had AWESOME sales skillz! XD
We where also right by the 2000AD table. and we managed to get some sketches from rufus dayglo (tank girl) which was awesome! lol a couple of my friends are in these photos ... in the backgrounds too XD;;; including me
The anthology we printed was ok. lol all my nightmares where pointless in the end. there are a few things we will learn from this 1st print.organisation was chaos, but it was worth it when we got to see the comic - and then sell it.
We sold more than I expected. but we didn't sell over 50% of the copies printed. but I suppose thats ok, because we can take the rest to future events anyway.
We are planning to keep going and make another anthology over the winter. and I'm also hoping to complete a comic of my own in time for the next event we go to. I'm looking forward to watching the group improve.
it was a great weekend. we saw loads of friends and met some awesome new people. I really enjoyed it anyway. :s I spent farrr too much money on comics >.<;; but it was nice going home and seeing my family.
