so yeh ... just a little update to whats happening ...
I will be with Inspired Comics at the Small Press Expo in Bristol (May 9th)
We will hopefully have some new printed stuff with us. anthologies.
Then I'll probably be going down to London MCM Expo (May 23rd)
wont be selling stuff, but maybe I'll get a chance to see some friends and buy ... urrr ..... pocky? ... and ... err ... I hope theres a 50p comics box you can leave me by like a childrens play area in a supermarket/ikea.
umm to have a little chat with yoooo ...
my favourite topic ...
have you seen/read anything interesting recently?
I've been reading Scott McCloud - Making Comics and I highly recommend reading it. its great because there aren't many books which focus on creating comics (manga and graphic novels included in that term). most 'how to draw comics/manga/whatever" books teach how to draw the characters, give ideas on what techniques and tools to use and then maybe cover a little perspective. I've not read a book like this since the will eisner books. and to be honest, I think I find Scott McClouds easier to read, because its set out like a comic.
and I've been watching back to back red dwarf DVDs while I colour digitally @_________@
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast ...
take care

Devious Comments
should be fun! XD and I hope our anthology arrives, I wanna see everyone's comic!
I've read a few interesting books lately, though I don't think they'd be a genre you'd read though XD;;
and that book sounds interesting I'll have to check it out.

are they manga or books? when I'm in a manga section nearly every new book I pull out is genderbending yaoi/shounen ai T_______T but I rarely find the opposite. makes me wonder how popular it is outside of japan.

I guess 70% of manga readers here are girls ... and of that percentage it must be fairly popular.

they need to actually widen the genre's they have in store.
